Today my mum and I headed off at ridiculous o'clock to Sunbury Antiques Market. We have been a couple of times before and it never disappoints!

It's a good job the market starts to close up around lunchtime because I'd be there all day otherwise - it has everything you could ever imagine - teddy bears, croquet sets, armchairs, suitcases, old cutlery, paintings, potties, even stuffed cats!
If the Texan and I are one day lucky enough to have our own house then I'm hiring a big van and going to Sunbury - why anyone would go to Ikea is a mystery to me when you can find the most amazing pieces of furniture for next to nothing here!
I bet this poor kitty never imagined it would be up for sale in a market one day..!
I was pretty well restrained but I did make the following purchases:
A new desk for me! The Texan and I only have needed one desk - I was working when he was studying and he was working when I was studying - but from September we'll both be doing the dreaded LPC course (the last bit of Law School where essentially you learn how to write a letter...they like to save the most tedious bit until last). This is really meant to be a kitchen table but I like it as a writing desk anyway... The chair is from a previous trip to Sunbury Antiques Market and cost a fiver!
This bracelet was nice enough for £3!
But this silver brooch set me back a hefty £8! I actually saw some similar ones in the window of a hunting shop in Brussels but they were way out of my price range - so I think this was a nice little bargain!
