There's a funny story attached to these jeans. Earlier this week, I wore my blue polka dot skirt (which I featured in this post a little while ago) to work. Well, at about 11am I started to notice the hem was coming away. By 1pm, the entire back slit had come unstitched and was getting dangerously close to exposing my rear end! I promptly text my (male) boss to explain I had a "skirt emergency", ran into Zara, picked up the first pair of jeans I saw and rushed into the nearest loo to get changed!
And it turns out that the jeans actually fit really nicely! I am terrible at buying jeans - I'll um and ahh over them for weeks before I finally buy a pair and even then I won't be content with them. But this very unintended and impromptu purchase turned out to be quite a good one! Perhaps I should adopt this approach to shopping on a regular basis?!
The weather in London has been absolutely glorious over the past few days and everyone seems a lot happier for it... It's funny how the sunshine can totally transform one's disposition - all the angry cyclists now glide by on their bicycles, taking in the pretty buildings rather than screaming at pedestrians and bus drivers; commuters on the tube no longer grumble when asked to move further down the carriage; even I seem to be much more patient with all the usually intolerably slow-moving tourists (!). Let's hope it lasts...
What I'm wearing -
Lace top: Vintage, Etsy
Jeans: Zara
Shoes: Vintage, Salvatore Ferragamo
Bag: Vintage, Junkaholique
Watch: Michael Kors
And, before I go, I just had to share these photos the Texan and I took during our walk home tonight...
1 + 2. Blossom trees in St James's Park
3. 200 of these eggs have been placed around London, we found this one on the lake at St James's Park
4 + 5. An amazing installation at Somerset House
P.S. I just realised that today is Take Courage's first birthday!
