Pastel perfect

Ok, I know it will get annoying seeing every fashion blogger dressed head-to-toe in candy colours this spring (and I know I did this pose in my last outfit post, sorry Tyra Banks!), but they make rainy days a little less dreary! And today was most definitely a dreary day...

The Texan and I visited my family in Kent today and took these photos in Rochester... Did any of you see the BBC's version of 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood' a few weeks ago? A good portion of it was filmed right where these photos were taken...

It's actually the perfect backdrop for a Charles Dickens adaptation because he himself grew up there - just like me! I would go past his childhood home during my daily walk to school and it always amazed me (and still does) that such a well known, influential and successful person once lived in my town. I bet he never pranced around in pastels though!

This little kitty came to say hello on our way home! The tree he was perched on was huge, it must have been at least as old as Ebenezer Scrooge!
