Caution: if you are a Desperate Housewives fan, be warned that this post contains a big-time spoiler. Ok? Now you can read the rest of this post (!).
I have been suffering from a two day migraine so no outfit photos today I'm afraid :( If you also suffer from migraines (or know someone who does), then you'll understand how horrible they can be. I spent almost all of yesterday sleeping and watching Peep Show/Ringer/Desperate Housewives - although crying like a baby during Mike Delfino's funeral didn't help my pounding head...
The Texan insisted I get some fresh air this morning so I compromised by sitting in the garden. I couldn't stand to do nothing so I decided to finally fill my photo album with my ever-increasing collection of old photos. I can't seem to go anywhere these days without picking up a couple of photos along the way - and Brighton this weekend was no exception, I came away with a few bits and bobs, including the above contact sheet of a very glamorous Indian lady!
My collection started a long time ago when I acquired two photos albums filled with pre- and post-war family photos, mostly of a couple called Miriam and Hans. Their story is really something quite special and it was one of the very first things I blogged about - go check it out here. The photo I'm holding above reads, "I am walking through the Australian bush and thinking of horse riding with you. Have found some most interesting and fascinating friends, enough to keep them alive in a novel one day - when time will be proved worthwhile to write. The other day I found an old letter from you saying that not until next year you would be able to start a farmer's life in Australia. Will it last another year until I see you again? Be courageous, dear - all my love, Miriam". Wow.
Lily was particularly fond of this postcard which I picked up in Brighton and which depicts five kitties sitting around a fireplace, captioned with "Gather round and hear the story, how our daddies fought - and won!". Aww.
Right, I'm back off to bed. I'll post some of our Brighton photos on Thursday, hopefully I'll be feeling a bit perkier by then :)
