Travel destination recommendations – Mont St. Michel, France
There is a little island off the coast of Normandy in France called Mont St. Michel. Month St. Michel is one of those islands that is accessible by land when the tide is low, but requires a boat during high tide, because it gets surrounded with water.
Even though the island is pretty small, it still has plenty of hot spots that tourists can visit. Most prominent locations to visit is no doubt the Gothic Abbey. Abbey is located on a small hill, making it tower over all the other buildings on the island. Gothic Abbey has a long history. During the French Revolution it was used as a prison. So there you have it, Mont St. Michel, France. A small tidal island that is the perfect place to visit. I went there as a side trip when I was visiting England and I haven’t regretted one bit, amazing place, filled with history, and it isn’t overcrowded with tourists. Check it out if you’re looking for a place for your next destination.
